A. Reeves Echerd, widower of Sarah Hodgin Echerd, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Rainey Hospice Home in Anderson. Born in Asheville in 1923, he had lived in Greenville since 1962. A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Mr. Reeves retired as a U.S. Treasury Special Agent. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He is survived by daughter, Judith Echerd Polson, and husband, Mike, of Anderson; and son, Arthur R. Echerd, Jr., and wife, Anne, of Brentwood, TN; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A private memorial service was held Monday, January 28, 2013, at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
