Allene Ferguson Morelli, 74, of Greenville, wife of John Morelli, of Murrells Inlet, died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at her home. Born in Pickens, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Earl Yates and Lillian Dorothy Wright Yates. Mrs. Morelli was a housewife and a member of Taylors First Baptist Church. She loved reading and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Karen Ferguson Sitton, and husband, Hank, Lisa Ferguson Manos, and husband, Mark, and son, Michael Scott Ferguson; grandchildren, Mari Allene Sitton, Karen Nicole Sitton, Henry McKennon Sitton, Mark Peter Manos, Melissa Manos Bedoya, and Mitchell James Manos; great grandson, Mikah Alexander Bedoya; and siblings, Brenda Yates Moody and Charles Edward Yates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Waylon Otra Ferguson. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615. The family will be at the home of her sister, 1102 N. Main St., Greenville, SC.
