Bernice Trotter

Bernice Trotter, 84, of Mauldin, went to be with her Lord on November 20, 2013. Born in Lilesville, NC on January 4, 1929, she was the youngest daughter of the late Milton Trotter, Sr. and Ora Owens Trotter of Mauldin. She attended school in Mauldin and lived with her parents for 64 years, working full time at Trotter Bonding and Finance while keeping up the family home place. Bernice was a member of New Hope Baptist church. She was devoted to her family, always had a helping hand, and loved her animals. Surviving are her brothers, William H. Trotter, Milton Trotter, Jr., her sister, Christine Casebeer, sister-in-law, Betty Trotter, and 12 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Willis P. Trotter. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast, 1604 NE Main Street, Simpsonville, SC. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2013 in the chapel of the funeral home with burial following at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
