Beverly Sharon Berkowitz Merritt, 65, of Greenville, widow of Robert Clinton Merritt, died Friday, August 2, 2013. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Sydney Simon and Ruth Martha Knigoff Berkowitz. Mrs. Merritt retired from Bank of America where she was employed as a teller. She was member of Beth Israel Synagogue. Surviving are a son, Aaron Merritt; a daughter, Sydney Merritt, both of Greenville; three brothers, Murray Berkowitz, of Atlanta; Ronald Berkowitz; and Joseph Berkowitz, both of Greenville; and a grandson, Jacob Finn Merritt, of Greenville. A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Beth Israel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
