Charles "Charlie" Hill McAfee, Jr., 83, husband of Toni Willis McAfee, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Charles Hill and Juliet Hollis McAfee.
Charlie graduated from Greenville High School, attended GA Tech, Presbyterian College, and served in the United States Army. He was a lifetime member of Christ Church Episcopal. Charlie was associated with McAfee Manufacturing for 30 years before becoming a manufacturer's representative for several furniture companies.
Formerly a member of the Greenville Rotary Club, Charlie was very involved with assisting his grandfather, Pete Hollis, with the Singing Christmas Tree. He enjoyed his mountain home at Sweetwater, spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Melissa M. Grey (Bill), Martha W. McAfee, and Mary M. Rohaley; a son, Charles H. McAfee, III; and four grandchildren, William Grey and Jack, Charlie, and Emma Rohaley.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Church Episcopal. Burial will be held in Springwood Cemetery.
