Clyde Fennell

October 28, 1926 - April 26, 2012
Clyde "Parker" Fennell, 85, of Greenville, husband of the late Mary "Lucille" Wilson, died Thursday, April 26, 2012. Born in Pelzer, he was a son of the late Clyde and Lula Fennell. Mr. Fennell graduated from Parker High School in 1944; served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed at the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Dunean Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing and golfing. Surviving are two sons, Keith Fennell and his wife, Linda, of Plano, TX, and Kerry Fennell, and his wife, Jimmie, of Townville, SC; four grandchildren, Allison Kelley, Jenifer Baker and her husband, Jonathan, Lonny Kennedy and his wife, Tracy, and Chad Fennell; nine great grandchildren, Samatha, Mackenzie, Eli and Garrett Kelley, Kennedy Fennell, Chance Kennedy, Isabelle, Nicholas and Rebecca Baker; and best friend, Paul Webb. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Fennell and a sister, Jackie Miles. Visitation will be Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Dunean Baptist Church, 21 Allen Street, Greenville, SC 29605.
