Dalton W. "Rocky" Browning, 55, of Powdersville died May 21, 2010 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Born in Greenville, he was the son of Catherine Bishop Browning of Atlanta GA and the late Charles Louie Browning, Sr. He was an Artisan and owner of Browning Ornamental Iron. In addition to his mother, surviving is his loving wife Vickie Foster Browning; three children, Dale Edward Browning of Pickens, Jamie Michelle Smith and husband Andrew of Taylors, and Joshua Wade Browning of Powdersville; three brothers, Patrick Browning, Sr. and wife Marsha of Greenville, Marshal L. Browning and life partner Joe Nickerson of Atlanta, and Charles Chip Louie Browning, Jr. and his wife Linda of Walhalla; one grandson, Caden Thomas Smith; two special nieces; Mandy Cochran and Terri Crawford; other numerous nieces and nephews and three beloved dogs, Apollo, Chance and Jasmine. Memorial Service will be Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Northwest. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Emory University Hospital Liver Transplant Services, 1364 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30322. The family would like to thank Drs. Coopersmith, Bailey and Parekh and nurses and other staff for numerous acts of kindness to both Rocky and his family.
