Doris Langley Barnette

Doris Langley Barnette, 77, wife of Jimmie Barnette, died on Monday, September 9, 2013. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Carrie Batson Langley. Doris was a member of Woodside Baptist Church and retired from K-Mart after 20 years as a sales associate. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Wendy Hall Randy of Greenville; a grandson, Grayson Hall; and a brother, Doug Langley Nan of Kannapolis, NC. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Clyde Langley. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Westside Crisis Center, 301 Woodside Avenue, Greenville, SC 29611. The family will be at the residence.
