Edna Bishop Ivey, 92, widow of Charles ?Hugh? Ivey, Sr., died Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Laurel Baye Health Care. Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse ?J.J.? and Marjorie Anders Bishop. Mrs. Ivey was retired from Union Bleachery. She was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church and former member of Enoree Baptist Church for a number of years. She was founder of the Travelers Rest Garden Club now known as Mountain Laurel, past President of the Clemson Homemakers Extension, and a former teacher of the singles Sunday School class at Enoree Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Charles H. Ivey, Jr. and his wife, Becky of Taylors; four grandchildren, April Ivey Lynch and her husband Todd of Greer, Melissa Ivey McKinney and her husband Dale of Taylors, Brent Ivey of Honolulu, HI., and Craig Drummond and his wife Diane of Travelers Rest; two great grandchilden, Logan McKinney of Taylors, and Caitland Drummond of Travelers Rest; Mary Ivey, mother of Brent Ivey, of Greenville and two sisters, Elizabeth Snow of Mauldin, and Margaret Whiteside of Greenville. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 1097 Highway 101, Suite D-11, Greer, SC 29651, Enoree Baptist Church, 811 Tigerville Road, Travelers Rest, SC 29690, or Mauldin First Baptist Church, 150 S. Main Street, Mauldin, SC 29662. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 30, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at 104 Berrow Way, Taylors.
