Edna Wood Mauldin, widow of Earl Mauldin, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at the Lutheran Home, Albemarle, NC. Born in 1919 in Woodruff, SC, she was the daughter of the late William N. and Ethel Maude Sloan Wood. Mrs. Mauldin was a retired weaver. She was member of Grove Road Baptist Church and had attended Bethel Baptist Church in Locust, NC for the past 7 years. Surviving are a granddaughter, Lisa Lambert and her husband, David; a grandson, Robert M. Kennedy, III and his wife, Michelle; five great grandchildren; a niece, Barbara Grice; and a nephew, Don Wood both of Greenville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Kennedy. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-0050 A graveside service will be held Friday, June 19, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
