ElRollen "Boots" Durham, 77, wife of William Alton Durham, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Rosecrest Retirement Center. Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Effie Ann McClain Alberson. Mrs. Durham was a retired seamstress and longtime member of West Gantt First Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and A.Y. Brown of Columbus, NC, Teri and Jackie Soares of Rocklin, CA; five sisters, Louise Welchel, Willie Mae Whitt, Evangeline Jones, Elsie Wyatt, Sue Henderson; and two grandchildren, Brittany Bond and Austin Sheldon. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Upstate SC Chapter, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000, Greenville, SC 29601. A private graveside service will be held.
