Eugene Sumner

Eugene Sumner, 75, of 9 Sequoia Drive, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006. Born in Buncombe County, NC, he was the son of the late James Leonard and Robena Hunter Sumner. Mr. Sumner served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Blanton Business College. He retired from Spartan Express. Surviving are his wife of fifty-four years, Leona Daleen Gosnell Sumner, of the home; two sons, Wayne Sumner of Pelzer and Rodney Sumner of Tega Cay; a sister, Anne Huffman, of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with visitation from 1:30 ? 2:45 pm prior to the service. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family is at the residence.
