Faris Blakely

Faris "Pat" Blakely, 84, widow of Jack Blakely, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Born in Union, she was the daughter of the late W. Claude and Ethel Lowe Boling. Mrs. Blakely was a retired teacher's aid for Greenville County Schools. She was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church where she was active in the church choir and enjoyed teaching children. Surviving, are a sister, Jean Burnsed; daughters, Lynn Tucker and husband Davis, Jean Hall and husband Dan, Carol Thompson and husband David and Laura Fallis and husband John; grandchildren, Toni Barnette and husband Eddie, John Eisenhauer, Rachel Hall and Kylie Hall; and great grandchildren, Tiffany and Justin; and great great grandchild Camden. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Ethel Blakely. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Memory Care, 100 Far Horizons Lane, Asheville, NC 28803. Visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
