Furman Manley, 75, of Iva, loving husband of Bessie Pat Worley Manley, died July 21, 2010. Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late Clarence and Annie Mae Manley. Mr. Manley was a retired roofer and a member of Russell Memorial Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Emogene "Jean" Carver, Furman Doug Manley, Michael Manley, and Stacy Manley; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and his brother, Harold Manley. Mr. Manley was predeceased by his grandson, Furman Douglas Manley, II. Visitation will be Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. The family will be at the residence.
