J.B. Lyda, 82, of Greenville, died January 31, 2010. Born in Central, SC, he was a son of the late Jim and Oma Leopard Lyda. Mr. Lyda served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Mohawk Manufacturing. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by two sisters, Sarah Hardy and husband Kenneth, Doris Reeves; and a brother, Wallace Lyda, all of Liberty. J.B. was predeceased by one sister and five brothers. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central, SC. The family will be at their respective homes.
