James McDade

June 4, 1930 - June 12, 2017
James McDade, 87, of Greenville, widower of Betty McDade, died Monday, June 12, 2017.

Born in Tryon, NC, he was the son of the late James, Sr., and Minnie McDade.

James served in the United State Navy and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Landrum.

He is survived by son, Victor McDade (Angie); granddaughter, Mary McDade Roach (Jeremy); grandson, James Victor McDade, Jr.; great grandson, Simon Victor Roach; great granddaughter, Lillian Kelley Roach; and a special friend, Helen Craig.

In addition to his loving wife, he was preceded in death by son, William Roger McDade.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be held in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 527 Hwy 14 W., Landrum, SC 29356.
