Jefferson C. "J.C." Burch, 67, of 103 Lorain Circle, husband of Thelma Gibson Burch, died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Scott and White Hospital, Temple, TX. Born in Hiawassee, GA, he was the son of the late Wayne and Maude Reed Burch. Mr. Burch was a retired Instrument and Control Technician and a member of the IBEW Local Chapter 379. Surviving, in addition to his wife are, a daughter, Sheila B. Wind of Easley; two sons, Wayne Burch of Greer and Jeff Burch of Liberty; two sisters, Reba Walker of Powder Springs, GA and Joyce Burch of Six Mile; a brother, Johnny Burch of Toccoa, GA; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marion Taylor Burch. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
