Jim Pearson

Jim Pearson, 87, of Greenville, loving husband of Emmaline Pruitt Pearson for 60 years, died February 19, 2011. Born in Simpsonville, he was a son of the late Fred Pearson and Iola Shehand. Jim served in the U.S. Army during the European Theater where he received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Berea First Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Emmaline, he is survived by thirteen nieces; three nephews; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law; and three brothers-in-law. He was predeceased by two brothers; one sister; his step-father; four sisters-in-law; and four brothers-in-law. Jim was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Visitation will be Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 3:00 ? 5:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Berea First Baptist Church, with burial following at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
