Joan Burger, 81, of Greer, SC, wife of the late Fred Burger, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014. Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Helen Niehoff Kramer. She is survived by three daughters: Joanne Pirone, Susan Tine, and Eileen Burger; ten Grandchildren: Charlie and Michael McAllister, Ashley Pirone, Suzanne Tine, Jennifer Robinson, Anthony Tine, and Valerie, Tiffany, Drew, and Cory Blickhahn; and ten Great-grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by a son Fred W. Burger. Visitation will be held
from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast Chapel, 1604 NE Main St., Simpsonville, SC 29681. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Chapel at Holy Sepulchre in Coram, NY. Entombment will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
