John Sibert, Jr., 77, of Greenville, husband of Rebecca Aye Sibert, died Monday, May 27, 2013. Born in Abbeville, he was the son of the late John Thomas Sibert, Sr. and Zula Jackson Sibert. Mr. Sibert worked in the landscaping business and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Abbeville. John was a hard-worker who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. In addition to his loving wife of 40 years, he is survived by daughters, Mara Hagood, Victoria Sibert, Chonnie Sibert, and Felicia Browning; foster daughter, Charlotte Edwards; and sister, Ollie McGowans. In was preceded in death by daughter, Rosala Sibert and son, Kevbby Sibert. Visitation will be held Friday, May 31, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The family will be at the residence.
