Josefina Nunez

Josefina Nunez, 89, widow of Luciano De La Torre, died Sunday, June 29, 2014. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Ramon Nunez and Maria Coronado Nunez. Mrs. Nunez was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Surviving are five daughters, Rosalba, Yolanda, Silvia, Leticia and Rosalinda De la Torre; two sons, Francisco and Ernesto De la Torre; two sisters, Martha and Socorre Nunez; two brothers, Feliciano and Angel Nunez; seventeen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Recitation of the Rosary will be Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
