Joseph Lenderman

Joseph Allen Lenderman, 89, of Greenville, husband of Jeanette Bridges Lenderman for sixty-three years, died May 7, 2009. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Charlie Hunter and Maggie Heath Lenderman. Mr. Lenderman served in the U.S. Army, was a life-long mechanic, and an avid fisherman. He attended Buncombe Road Baptist Church and was a member of the Fiske Sunday School Class. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Donna Jackson and husband, Kirk, of Aiken; grandsons, Ashley Jackson and wife, Katherine, of Cayce, Hunter Jackson of Aiken; and his beloved dog, Foxy. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009 in the chapel at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with burial following at Grand View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:30 – 2:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buncombe Road Baptist Church, 111 Courtney Circle, Greenville, SC, 29617 or to The Alzheimer's Association, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000, Greenville, SC, 29601.
