Joseph Stanley Mahaffey, 48, of 12 West Street, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Greenville, he was a son of Carolyn Elizabeth Collins Johnson and the late Lewis Earl Mahaffey, Sr. Mr. Mahaffey was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Johnny Mahaffey; a sister, Robin Jacquline Donehue and her husband Barry; a brother, Lewis Earl Mahaffey, Jr. and his wife Debbie; stepfather, John Johnson; a nephew, Tommy Donehue; and a niece, Leslie Mahaffey. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West.
