Josue Rivera-Albert

S.F.C. Josué Rivera-Albert, Ret., 88, of Greenville, died Saturday, February 19, 2011. Born in Poncé, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Manuel Rivera and Eduviges Albert and was the widower of Virginia Nieves Rivera. S.F.C. Rivera-Albert served 22 years in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War. He later retired from Bayne Machine Works, where he worked as a machinist. He is survived by a son, Josué Rivera and his wife, Belinda of Simpsonville; three daughters, Iris Selby and her husband, Darrell of Easley, Ruth Boyer of Taylors and Migdalia Goodwin and her husband, Carl of Fountain Inn; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three sisters; seven brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, February 21, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Service will be in the downtown chapel on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
