Larry Porter

Larry Porter, 71, of 135 4th Street Woodside, died on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Marian J. and Sarah Bridges Porter. Mr. Porter retired from Parker District Fire Department and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Iva Farmer Porter, of the home; two daughters, Sheila Barton and husband Marshall of Easley, and Debbie Douglas and husband Creighton of Greenville; two sons, Jay Porter and wife Debbie of Greenville, and Terry Porter and wife Teresa of Greenville; a sister, Carolyn Southerland, of Greenville; a brother, Bobby Porter, of Greenville; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 ? 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family is at the residence.
