Marcelle Wynn Greene

Marcelle Wynn Greene, 82, of 212 Brockman Avenue, widow of Pearl Morris Greene, Jr., died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at her residence. Born in Taylors, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Grace Bishop Wynn. A 1947 graduate of Parker High School, Mrs. Greene was retired from Stone Manufacturing and was a member of Buncombe Road Baptist Church. She had a green thumb and loved her flowers, her church and church activities and her friends. Surviving are a son, Johnny M. Greene Cheryl, of Greenville and grandson, Johnathan Greene Tara and great-grandson, Gunner Greene of Georgia; a daughter, Brenda G. Mowrey Rick of Taylors and grandchildren, Bethel, Alyssa, Lynelle and Philip Mowrey. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Jerry Wynn. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
