Marie Cassell Crumpton, 80, of 1004 Saluda Lake Road, widow of John W. Crumpton, Sr., died Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at her residence. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Waymon Holland and Mamie Duke Cassell. Mrs. Crumpton was retired from Davis Electrical and was a member of Monaghan United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Alexander and her husband Bill of Pickens, Jennifer Huskey of Greer; two sons, Jack Crumpton and his wife Fredda of Anderson, Dan Crumpton and his wife Sheila of Greenville; four brothers, James Cassell of Greer, David Cassell of Cleveland, Bob Cassell of Greenville, Tom Cassell of Cleveland; eight grandchildren, Chris Crumpton, Matt Edwards, Melissa Hembree, Heather Huskey, B.B. Huskey, Kylie Crumpton, Heidi Huskey, Tyson Crumpton; seven great grandchildren, Josh Crumpton, Tyler Hembree, Elizabeth Hembree, Casey Crumpton, Abby Crumpton, Jackson Crumpton, and Hadley Edwards. She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Vallie Monroe, Vera Hunnicutt, Dot McConnell, Lois Evette, Bernice Gallamore, Eleanor Wren, Ed, Herbert, and Gordon Cassell. Funerals services will be conducted Friday, June 03, 2005 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:30 until 2:45 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will be at their respective homes.
