Martha Faye Crossley, 59, of Greenville, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of Arthur Furman and Helen Louise Crossley. Ms. Crossley was a graduate of J. L. Mann and College of Charleston, with a business and CPA degree; and worked at Greenville Memorial Hospital before retiring due to illness. Surviving, are a daughter, Sonya Renee Browning and her husband Paul; a son, Royce Lee Yardley, Jr. and his wife April; three granddaughters, Sage and Ivy Yardley, and Madison Bass; two sisters, Jennie Joy and Helena Pitzer; and two brothers, Sonny and Marty Crossley. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 3:00 p.m., at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. The family will receive prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Ivy Yardley Medical Fund, c/o Bank of America, 1790 Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC 29607. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.

To all of the Crossley Family, So sorry for your loss! Martha was an awesome lady! After having known her as a teenager back in the 1960s, it was a pleasure to get reacquainted when she came to work in the Greenville Hospital System's Finance Department.

Martha was a blessing to all that knew her. I was so inspiration by her strength and her faith. We will miss her so much.

Martha was a bright spot in the A la Carte hiking and outdoor group. Her smile was contagious and I particularly enjoyed watching her dance. She will truly be missed.
