Martha Ellison

Martha Holroyd Ellison, 87, died peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2013, at Pendleton Manor in Greenville. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Robert Emory Holroyd, Sr. and the late Mary Cureton Holroyd. Her loving family includes her six children, Kathryn Ellison Smoke, of Travelers Rest, SC, Roy James Ellison, III Rhonda, of Kennesaw, GA, Marianne Ellison Melin Ron, of Lawrenceville, GA, Kent Holroyd Ellison, of Taylors, SC, Mark Stribling Ellison, of Taylors, SC, and Melissa Ellison Cauthen William, of Ft. Mill, SC; 18 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Mary Holroyd Powell, of Atlanta, GA; and brothers, The Reverend W. Thomas Holroyd, of Clemson, SC, and Robert F. Holroyd, of Anderson, SC. She was preceded in death by brother, Robert Emroy Holroyd, Jr. The family wishes to give special thanks to the caring staff at Pendleton Manor who treated her with dignity and respect.
