Martin “Tony” Ballenger

September 6, 1953 - November 28, 2012
Martin Anthony "Tony" Ballenger, 59, of Piedmont, died November 28, 2012. He was the son of Betty Bishop Ballenger and the late Samuel Martin Ballenger. Mr. Ballenger worked as Master Controller for Channel 4 News for twenty years and taught photography at Greenville Technical College. He was a Mason with the Monagan Lodge, a Ham Radio Operator and an avid pool player. Surviving in addition to his mother, are brothers, Jeffrey T. Ballenger, and wife, Amy, of Easley, and Scott S. Ballenger, and wife, Penny, of Dacusville; two nephews; three nieces; and a great niece. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Tanglewood Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Tanglewood Baptist Church Roof Fund.
