Marvin Messer, 65, of Seneca, husband of Nadine Walton Messer, died Sunday, February 12, 2012. Born in Donalds, SC, he was the son of the late Harley Gilbert and Lunia Ester Gilland Messer. Mr. Messer previously owned and operated a floor covering business and was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Chris Messer and his wife, Paige, of Easley; a grandson, Dylan Messer of Easley; five sisters, Alma Brown, Lois Vickers and husband, Dean, Evelyn Nunn and husband, Albert, Beulah McCall, and Glenda Broome. Mr. Messer was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Messer. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Graceland Cemetery West. The family will be at the residence.
