Matthew Diachenko

The Rev. Matthew ?Matt? Diachenko, 85, God?s faithful servant, of 731 Cool Creek Drive, went to be with his Lord on Friday, April 6, 2007. Born in Baltimore, MD, Rev. Diachenko was the husband of Geraldine Rose Lafferty Diachenko and the son of the late Stephen and Eva Yanshevsky Diachenko. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and earned his B.A. from Bob Jones University. He was a member of Hampton Park Baptist Church. In addition to his loving wife Gerry, Rev. Diachenko is survived by two sons, Steve Diachenko and his wife, Jenifer of Taylors, Robert Diachenko and his wife Mary of Greenville; two daughters, Joy Diachenko of Hope, ME, and Christy Diachenko of Greer; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2007 at Hampton Park Baptist Church, with visitation from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Graceland East Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Literature Ministries, P.O.
