Menefee Vaughn

Lillie Menefee Batson Vaughn, 96, widow of Harry Crawford Vaughn, Sr., died Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Born in Travelers Rest, she was a daughter of the late Baylis Earl and Bannah Earlene Montgomery. Mrs. Vaughn was a retired machine operator and member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church, which she loved dearly. Surviving are a son, Harry Crawford Vaughn, Jr. and wife, Becky of Greenville; two grandchildren, Harry Crawford Vaughn, III of Greenville and April Pritchett and husband, Jason, of Marietta; two great grandsons, Jackson and Austin Pritchett; and a brother, Heyward Batson and wife, Lucille, of Greenville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Norwood Batson; and a sister, Earlene Batson. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Piedmont Park Baptist Church, 801 Piedmont Park Road, Greenville, SC 29609.
