Norma Greene

Norma Pitts Greene, wife of David J. Greene, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Mrs. Greene was born November 23, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Jim W. Pitts and Dorothy M Pitts. Mrs. Greene attended Lander College and Bob Jones University. She is a charter member of Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church and was a member of the University Park Garden Club for many years. Mrs. Greene is survived by the love of her life, her husband David; and two sons, David J. Greene, Jr. and wife, Gina, of Destin, FL and Thomas M. Greene and wife, Adonnya, of Galveston, TX; grandchildren, Justin, Jeffrey, Hollie, Reagan, Blythe, Torie, Gareth and Dakota; great grandchildren, Kimber, Brayden, Brianna, Carson, Devinger and Brady; and a brother, Jim Pitts and wife, Trudy, of Charleston. Visitation will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Greenville County Cancer Society, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605. The family will be at the residence.
