Pauline Bynum McGuffin, 98, of Greenville, widow of Willie Lee McGuffin, died Friday, November 30, 2012 at Oakmont West Nursing Center. Born in Westminster, SC, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Reed Bynum. Mrs. McGuffin was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are daughter, Louise Grant, and husband, Jim, of Phoenix, AZ; sons Jerry Ray McGuffin, and wife, Sharon, of Greenville, and James Mitchell McGuffin, and wife, Deborah, of Pelzer; sisters, Edna Chastain, of Easley, Mildred Duncan, and Ann Atwood, both of Greenville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Gene McGuffin; sister, Mae Leopard; and brother, Frank Bynum. Visitation will be held Monday, December 3, 2012, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park, Seneca, SC.
