Philip Klinck

Phil Klinck died Sunday, November 20, 2011 after a brief illness. Born in North Augusta, SC, he was a son of the late John Klinck and Agnes Hughes Klinck. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Corps and a 1948 graduate of Clemson Universtiy. He worked for various construction companies and his own company and retired from Fluor-Daniel. He was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dottie Galloway Klinck; son and daughter-in-law, Roger Alan and Tani Hood Klinck of Greenville; daughter, Carol Klinck Carson of Greenville; sister, Betty Klinck Wheeler of Perry, FL; grandchildren, Philip, Brooke and Garrett Klinck, Jessica B. Wilson; great grandson Adam Turner and sister-in-law Jean Laffoday Bill of Charlotte, NC. He was predeceased by brothers Jack Klinck of Columbia; Dave Klinck of Spartanburg; and sister Alice Lewis of Grovetown, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow in the Downtown Chapel at 3 p.m. with Dr. Jimmie Harley officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
