Randolph ?Lee? Boaze, 62, husband of Betsy Patton Boaze, of 108 Spring Forest Road, died Wednesday July 14, 2004 at his home. Born in Danville, VA he was the son of the late Randolph and Pauline Little Boaze. Mr. Boaze was formerly employed as an engineer with Cone Mills and later operated Fashion Cleaners and Marvel Cleaners. He was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Carolina Corvette Club and also the Virginia Tech Alumni Association. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, LeeAnn Callahan and her husband Richard of Greenville, Stacy McKnight and her husband Jay of Louisville, KY; a sister, Anne Moffitt of Asheboro, NC; a brother, Bruce Boaze of Cornelius, NC. Visitation will be Friday July 16, 2004 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Services will be held Saturday July 17, 2004 at 10:30 AM in the downtown chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 701 Cleveland Street, Greenville, SC 29601. The family will be at the home.

Lee was a good neighbor and a man with many stories, especially about the textile industry. We lived next door for many years, altho not personally close, we admired the tenacity Lee had toward his work and family. He went through a lot of personal trauma

Betsy, My prayers are with you. Lee was a wonderful person to be around and he will be greatly missed. We had so many fun times together with the Corvette Club.
