Reverend Floyd Smith, Jr., of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2009. Born in Gordon County, GA, he was a son of the late Rea D. and Floyd W.B. Smith. Reverend Smith was a minister for forty-three years in the Church of God of Prophecy and Pastor of Cashville Church of God of Prophecy in Woodruff, SC. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Raushenberger and husband Bruce; grandchildren, Josh Raushenberger, Leah Rogers and husband Patrick; siblings, Katherine Young, J.B. Henry Smith, Brenda Pye and her husband Charles; and his close companion, Sylvia McCormack. He was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Smith. Reverend Smith will be missed by his family and dear friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held at Carolina Heights Church of God of Prophecy on Wednesday, March 25 at 2:00 PM, with burial following at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will be at their respective homes.
