Robert Wayne Pyeatt

Robert "Wayne" Pyeatt, 79, of Greenville, loving husband of Shirley Pyeatt for 56 years, went home to be with his Lord on April 10, 2011 from complications of Parkinson's disease. Born in Kress County, TX, he was a son of the late Robert Edward and Essie Pearl Pyeatt. Wayne served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a retired life-long truck driver. He was a member of Tremont Church of God. In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by his son, Darrell Pyeatt and wife, Dennie; two grandchildren, Taylor and Meagan Pyeatt; a brother, Billy Joe Pyeatt; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister and two brothers. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2011, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Tremont Church of God, with burial following at Greenville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680; or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 726 Lowndes Hill Road, # C, Greenville, SC 29607. The family will be at the residence.
