Robert Wickiser

September 24, 1930 - December 15, 2009
Robert "Bob" Wickiser, 79, of 6 Ivy Trail, husband of Jackie Degan Wickiser, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in New Washington, OH, he was the son of the late Wesley V. and Laura M. Schanzenbach Wickiser. Mr. Wickiser was retired from Marshall and Williams Company and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Adele Medlin and husband, Michael, of Greenville; two sons, Brook Wickiser and wife, Michelle, of Greenville and Bobby Wickiser and wife, Diane, of Greenville; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a brother, William Wickiser and wife, Dommie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela M. Bayliff; and a sister. Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 18, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
