Romalea Pisteolis

Romalea Pisteolis, 78, widow of Demetrios Pisteolis, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Ditiki Frangista Eurytanias, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Leonidas and Valentina Naomi Kolokythas. Mrs. Pisteolis was a homemaker and member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Surviving are a son, George Pisteolis and wife, Fotini, of Greenville; a daughter, Evangelia Zaharopoulos and husband, Pete, of Lamia, Greece; grandchildren, Romalea, Demetrios and Spyridoula Pisteolis, Elena and Dimitri Zaharopoulos; a brother, Gus Kythas and wife, Maria, of Greenville; and a sister-in-law, Niki Kythas. Memorials may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 406 N. Academy Street, Greenville, SC 29601. Visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Trisagion Service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at 117 Swindon Circle.
