Ruby Corn

September 25, 1924 - April 24, 2006
Ruby Evans Corn, 81, of 2631 Poinsett Hwy, died on Monday, April 24, 2006. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Doc M. and Etta Hammond Evans. Mrs. Corn retired from Belding Corticelli and was a member of Tremont Church of God. Surviving are four daughters, Ann Golightly and husband Preston, Sr., of Travelers Rest, SC, Pat Wilson of Greenville, SC, Carolyn King and husband Bob of Brevard, NC, and Kim Corn of Atlanta, GA; a son, Jim Vallandingham and wife Leenie, of Palm Bay, FL; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Ben Vallandingham, Jr.; her second husband, Dewey A. Corn; three sisters; three brothers; and a grandchild. Services will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with visitation from 10:30 ? 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Pisgah Gardens in Brevard, NC. Memorials may be made to Shriner?s Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The family is at their respective homes.
