Sarah Bumgarner

Sarah E. "Lib" Bumgarner, 84, of South Bend, Indiana, formerly of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away, Friday, March 20, 2010, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Lib was born August 8, 1925, in Greenville, South Carolina, to James Virgil "J.V." and Annie Mac Barnett Taylor. She was a homemaker. On July 3, 1946, Lib married Thomas A. Bumgarner, who preceded her in death on April 3, 1973. Surviving are her daughters, Anne Lanford of Greenville, South Carolina, Nancy Richard Measell of South Bend, Indiana; grandchildren, Lee and Robbie Lanford; great grandchildren, Rachel and Trey Lanford; and a sister-in-law, Edna Taylor of North Carolina. A brother, Glover Taylor preceded her in death. Lib was a member of the Taylors Baptist Church, Taylors, South Carolina, and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed golf and bingo. Visitation will be held at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home on Main Street, in Greenville, South Carolina from 10:30 – 11:30 with burial services following at noon in Woodlawn Cemetery, on Wednesday, March 24, 2010.
