Sarah Evelyn Brannon

Sarah Evelyn Cothran Brannon, 89, of Greenville, widow of Shaw E. Brannon, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at McCall Hospice House. Born in Madison, SC, she was the daughter of the late Duffie Lee Cothran and Alma Powell. Mrs. Brannon was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Roper Mountain Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Anne Johnson, and husband Robert, of Buena Vista, VA, and Emily Jane Perkins, of Possum Kingdom, SC; two sons, Robert Brannon, and wife, Emily, of Simpsonville, and Randall Brannon, of Greenville; three sisters, Hazel Fair, of Greenville, Bobbie Campbell, of Easley, and Helen Scott, of Fair Play; five grandchildren, Robby Brannon, Patrick Shawn Brannon, Jodi Kloiber, Jason Perkins, Sarah Younes; step-grandson, Jason Greene; four great grandchildren, Asia, Cloe, and Giovanni Brannon, and Nicholas Shaw Kloiber. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Thomas Brannon; granddaughter, Jennifer Brannon; brothers, J.B. Cothran, and Maurice Cothran; sisters, Jewel Rogers, and Frances Johnson. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 1, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
