Sophie Meadors

Sophie Dusenberry Meadors, 97, of Greenville, widow of James Edwin "Doc" Meadors, died December 12, 2014, at Rolling Green Nursing Home. Born in Due West, SC, she was the daughter of the late Mary Evalina Radcliffe and George Reid Dusenberry. Mrs. Meadors received a Bachelor's of Arts from Erskine College, with a double major in math and English with a minor in music. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and painting, and was a member of Greenville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Meadors is survived by her daughter, Linda Meadors Anderson; two grandsons, Christopher Dane Pierce and Andrew Reid Pierce, and wife, Angie; great granddaughter, Adeline Sophia Pierce; sister, Margaret Beard; and brother, Francis Dusenberry. In addition to her mother and father and husband of 70 years, she was predeceased by son-in-law, John Michael "Mike" Anderson; two sisters, Virginia Dean and Katherine Daniel; and brother, George Dusenberry.
