T.L Rhoden, Jr

T. L. Rhoden, Jr. of Taylors, South Carolina passed away on October 8, 2014 at McCall Hospice House. Born on July 4, 1931 in Greenville County, he was the son of the late T. L. Rhoden, Sr. and Marie Bolt Rhoden. Mr. Rhoden served in the U. S. Army in the Korean War and worked for over twenty years at National Shirt and Hat Company until his retirement. He attended Sans Souci Baptist Church and was a member of the Ethel Ayers Sunday School Class. Surviving are his wife of sixty-three years, Doris Batson Rhoden; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Dottie Rhoden; a sister and brother-in-law, Sybil and Ray Howard; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, Kenneth Rhoden; and two sisters, Joyce Wyatt and Mary Lou Moseley. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 10:30 am to 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Greenville, with the funeral service to be held at 12:00 noon at the Thomas McAfee Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to McCall Hospice House or Sans Souci Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff of McCall Hospice House for their care and support, and would like to especially thank their many friends and neighbors who have helped during this difficult time.
