Vernon Nalley

Vernon Floyd Nalley, 72, of Greenville, husband of Wanda Gail Nalley, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Floyd and Mary Lois Crane Nalley. Mr. Nalley was of the Baptist faith. Vernon loved driving race cars for 20 years. In addition to his loving wife of 20 years, he is survived by children, Michael Nalley, Richard Nalley, Mary Nalley, Alice Ruff, Judy Pate, and Betty Garrett; step-sons, Duane Cross and Michael Cross; sisters, Hazel Boggs and Jeanette Tinsley; brother, Alvin Nalley; twenty-four grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter, Katherine Nalley and brother, William Nalley. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will follow in Graceland West Cemetery.
