Viola Cantrell

Fannie Viola Bates Cantrell, 100, of Greenville, died October 13, 2013. Born in Travelers Rest, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Bates; and widow of the late J.C. Cantrell. Fannie worked in textiles and was a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by four grandchildren, Pam Pennington Jim, Mike Bell Kathy, Stephen Bell Annette, and Allen Bell Tara; five great grandchildren, Brandon, Derrick, Cruise, Heather and Savannah; a son-in-law, Robert Henry; and a sister, Lois Jewell. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Betty Moriece Henry. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000, Greenville, SC 29601.
