Violet McCarron

Violet Marquardt McCarron passed away peacefully with dignity and grace that marked her 96 years of life, on March 10, 2013. She was born in Rose City, MI to James and Mable Simmons on January 25, 1917. She resided in Michigan and Florida before moving close to her daughter in 2000. She was a recent resident of Bellaire Place in Greenville, SC. Violet was the wife of the late Robert G. Marquardt for 21 years and the late John J. McCarron for 23 years. She is survived by her 91 year old brother, Roy Simmons. She is also survived by her son, James Marquardt and his wife, Trina; her daughter, Catherine Nance and her husband, Robert; and two grandchildren Rob and Michelle Nance. She was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Simmons. Violet was a lifetime member of the K of C Ladies Auxiliary Guild, holding numerous positions when living in Michigan and Florida. She was a loving and devoted mother, wife and friend who kept a strong Catholic Faith. She enjoyed volunteering as a "welcome lady" at her many residences. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Special thanks to Vista Care Hospice for their loving care and support; and to Bellaire Place for their comforting and dedicated caretakers that helped the family through her final years of life.
