William Wess

March 16, 1930 - May 8, 2012
William Wess, 82, of Greenville, husband of Helen Wess, went home to be with the Lord, May 8, 2012. Born in Kittanning, PA, he was the son of the late William Anthony Wess and Stella Bittinger Wess. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company after 35 years as a machinist, and was a Deacon at Agnew Road Baptist Church. In addition to his wife of 62 years, Mr. Wess is survived by his five sons, Ty Wess, and wife, Bonnie, Gary Wess, and wife, Colleen, Rob Wess, and wife, Mary Ellen, Gene Wess, and wife, Cathy, and Eric Wess; grandchildren, David Wess, and wife Tonya, Stephen Wess, and wife, Tammi, Julie Wolsieffer and husband, Dan, Angela Jensen, and husband, Rob, Cherise Barker, and husband, Matt, Timothy Wess, and wife, April, Michelle Jones, and husband, Jerid, Michael Wess, and wife Tamara, Matthew Wess, and wife, Sarah, Stephen Wess, Kevin Wess, Brenden Wess, Justin Wess, and Raquel Wess; 21 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Charlotte Spear and Beverly Palumbo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Wagner. Visitation will be held at Agnew Road Baptist Church, Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., with funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Gospel Fellowship Association, 1809 Wade Hampton Blvd, Ste. 110, Greenville, SC 29609. The family will be at the residence.
